Reports in Italy suggest that Juventus are ready to move midfielder Nicolo Fagioli to Ligue 1 side Marseille in the January transfer window, as Roberto De Zerbi’s side currently lead Napoli and several other teams in the looking for the signature of the Italian international.
Fagioli is one of three players, along with Danilo and Samuel Mbangula, who Juventus could consider leaving in January in order to raise funds for new acquisitions.
The Bianconeri are hoping to bring in at least one new defender following season-ending injuries to Bremer and Juan Cabal, while another striker to rival Dusan Vlahovic is also on the agenda.
However, Juventus currently do not have too much funds to play in January after a summer of heavy spending, and will therefore have to get rid of players before attracting new ones.
Gazzetta: Marseille leads the race for Juventus’ Fagioli
According to information from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marseille is currently the party most interested in buying Fagioli this summer.
Friday’s report suggests Juve are looking for a fee in the region of €25-30 million to sell Fagioli permanently in January.
Marseille have reportedly already expressed interest, and La Gazzetta claims Fagioli would be interested in a team-up with De Zerbi and his former Bianconeri teammate Adrien Rabiot.
The Pink Book also suggests that Napoli remain interested and that the Partenopei have decent links with Juventus through sporting director Giovanni Manna, who managed the Juventus Next Gen team.
Paris Saint-Germain were also mentioned, as were a few unnamed Premier League teams.
