Paulo Dybala is set to be included in Roma’s starting XI for the first time under Claudio Ranieri when his side visits Tottenham in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Kick-off will be at 9:00 p.m. CET (8:00 p.m. GMT) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
After switching to a back three during the second half of his team’s match in Naples last weekend, Sky Sport Italia believes coach Ranieri will confirm such a setup and add wingers Zeki Çelik and Angelino to form a defensive line of five men.
Mats Hummels should be deployed in the center, flanked by Gianluca Mancini and Evan Ndicka.
Manu Koné, Bryan Cristante and Nicolò Pisilli are all expected to be confirmed in the starting line-up, with the former and latter tasked with providing both defensive cover and support to the attacking duo, which should see Dybala play alongside the best Giallorossi scorer, Artem Dovbyk.
Defender Mario Hermoso is still injured, but the return of Alexis Saelemaekers to the Roma team after more than two months could offer Ranieri a valuable alternative.
Tottenham will be without goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, who suffered a broken ankle and will be out for months after undergoing surgery.
